Skippy+ is a retrofit part for ropeway chairs. It is an anti-slip device that is used on older chair models so that passengers of all sizes and ages can enjoy the ride on the chairlifts even more safely. An economical retrofit solution, that meets high demands: low weight, minimal use of material and energy, maximum strength, and a long service life in highly fluctuating temperatures. The design approach "Form Follows Function" was therefore taken quite literally here. Thus, the shape of Skippy+ is characterized by a circumferential belt that becomes narrower as it follows the flow of forces and flows dynamically around the component. In combination with the extremely thin, set-back inner section, an ultra-lightweight component is formed.
