For the cableway of the Floriade 2022 in Almere, the world's first ropeway station was developed that is located in the water. The ropeway station is technically planned in a way that the water surface not only extends in front of the station, but also into the station. This results in a completely new and overwhelming experience in the station area. Wooden walkways that rise above the water enable a comfortable entrance and exit to and from the cabins. Also, the cabins float directly above the water level, offering an unforgettable view to the visitors. As part of the project, a communication concept was developed to explain to passengers how a ropeway system works in an easy-to-understand way.
