Ropeway
feasibility study
Architecture
In this feasibility study for a german city, a ropeway was developed that connects different parts of the town with three stations and thus optimises the traffic flow between the respective train stations. The ropeway should not only function as a means of public transport, but also as a symbol for the further joint growth of the different parts of the community. The middle station will be integrated into a multi-storey car park and - like the other two stations - is planned to serve as a mobility hub. The surrounding residential area that is being developed would thus have access to emission-free public transport. The study examined and developed the integration of the stations in terms of urban planning, as well as different architectural concepts. Together with the proposed set of measures, this serves as a decision-making basis for further proceedings.
