Motion Cube

The highlight of the Doppelmayr Garaventa trade fair stand at Interalpin 2019 in Innsbruck was the Motion Cube, a walk-in cube with a cabin at its centre. For the international trade fair for ropeways and alpine technologies, MOJA Design developed a spatial media experience that made the fascination of a ropeway ride tangible even where no real installation was available. The cabin at the center of the cube was the OMEGA V, designed by MOJA Design, which was presented to the public for the first time at the trade fair and showcased in a highly emotional way.

The floor and walls of the Motion Cube consisted of LED panels. The animations shown there were developed especially for this purpose and adapted to the cube, so that floor and walls merged into one closed visual world. Visitors could enter the cabin and watch explanatory animations. In addition, the Motion Cube offered a breathtaking virtual ropeway ride: the surrounding LED surfaces created the impression of floating over different landscapes, seasons, and times of day.

The combination of a real cabin and digital content made the Motion Cube an immersive experience in which visitors could not only watch a ropeway ride but experience it themselves. Like this, a place was created, where information and emotion come together and visitors are actively involved.
