The transportation of goods via Hyperloop is a key research area in the vision of this high-speed transport system. Starting from a fully automated warehouse, autonomous robots distribute the goods to the cargo pods. The robots have an enclosed freight compartment that serves multiple purposes: First of all, the goods are protected during transport and secondly, the temperature and humidity can be optimally adjusted for each specific cargo. In addition, pressure equalization can be provided for those types of cargo that need to be protected from vacuum. This means that not the entire pod has to be subjected to pressure equalization.
