Fuchs
Material Handlers
Product design
For the new MHL340 and MHL350 models, the upper carriage of the Fuchs material handling machines was redesigned from the ground up by MOJA Design – from initial concept to production-ready execution. Fuchs material handling machines are used worldwide in ports, recycling facilities, and scrap yards – environments with high demands on robustness, visibility, and ease of operation.
Working closely with the engineering team, a design was created that meets both functional and aesthetic requirements while specifically taking manufacturing optimisation potential into account. Clear edge lines, distinctive light graphics, and a coherent surface design give the upper carriage a powerful, unmistakable appearance that makes its affiliation with the Fuchs product family recognisable at a glance. Regular factory visits and coordination directly on the prototype ensured that the design concept and technical feasibility were considered together from the very beginning.
A key aspect of the development was the scalability of the design across further models in the MHL series. Through a well-considered design language and modular principles, a flexible design basis was created by MOJA Design that allows efficient adaptation to different machine types. Smaller models in the MHL series also benefit from a consistent, recognisable appearance. For this consistent design approach, the machine received the Focus Open 2025 award. In line with this, the corresponding operator display and the marketing campaign for the product launch were also developed by MOJA Design.
