The Eiger Express in Grindelwald, built as part of the V-Bahn project, is one of the most modern cable car systems in the Alps. This high-performance 3S cable car connects the Grindelwald Terminal to the Eigergletscher station in just 15 minutes and is a central component of the Jungfrau Region’s infrastructure. Serving as the gateway to the UNESCO World Heritage Site and the starting point for numerous Alpine destinations, the system transports guests from all over the world year-round and sets new standards for comfort, efficiency, and modern cable car design.

The ATRIA cable car cabin is used here; its product design combines technical functionality with a clean, timeless aesthetic. Its defining features include precise lines, a fully integrated roof structure, and generous panoramic glazing. This creates a sense of open space and offers unobstructed views of the impressive mountain landscape surrounding the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. The harmonious design gives the cabin a striking yet understated appearance.

Inside the cabin, too, the focus is on a high-quality user experience. Ergonomically designed elements and a minimalist design language create a pleasant atmosphere. A coordinated lighting and acoustic concept further enhances travel comfort.

Today, the ATRIA cabin is a defining feature of the Eiger Express and exemplifies the combination of innovative product design and technical precision. In addition to the Eiger Express, the V-Bahn project in Grindelwald includes the Männlichenbahn for which a distinct, characteristic generation of cabins the OMEGA V was designed.
