platform system

Modern ropeway systems such as Garaventa's Peak Line place high demands on safety and comfort when passengers board and alight. For this application, a modular platform system was developed by MOJA Design that includes not only platform doors but also an adaptive parapet concept. The platform doors are designed to open and close in sync with the cabin doors, reliably preventing passengers from stepping onto the track level.

Taking into account different cabin lengths and widths as well as a wide variety of station layouts, a system was created that meets the highest requirements for modularity and technical feasibility, and can be used both in new installations and when modernising existing stations. Together with Garaventa's development department, a system was developed that ensures flawless operation even under the most extreme weather conditions – from strong winds and icing to extreme cold. During technical testing in a cold chamber, the system was fine-tuned under realistic winter conditions before going into series production.

Customisation options also make it possible to respond to specific customer requirements: fully glazed parapet variants offer passengers an unobstructed, breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape, while closed versions provide additional wind and weather protection at exposed mountain stations. As a result, both operators and passengers benefit from a system that can be flexibly adapted, both technically and visually, to each individual station.
