Mobility station
SWSG Zentrale

For the headquarters of the Stuttgarter Wohnungs- und Städtebaugesellschaft (SWSG) in Bad Cannstatt, a concept for a mobility station was developed by MOJA Design that offers employees an environmentally friendly alternative to private motorised transport on their commute. The core of the new prototype installation consists of charging stations for e-bikes and electric cargo bikes, along with an integrated bicycle repair station. Alongside the existing car parking spaces, this creates an additional, attractive mobility option for the daily journey to work.

The mobility station features a distinctive, roofed structure that not only provides weather protection for bicycles and their users but also, through its form, sets a strong visual accent with a landmark effect in the urban space. After dark, integrated lighting additionally provides orientation and a greater sense of safety, especially for employees arriving in the early morning or late evening hours. During the design process, various equipment concepts and design variants were examined before the final form of the roof structure and the arrangement of the individual charging points were determined.

With this concept, SWSG aims to firmly anchor sustainable mobility in everyday company operations and offer employees a low-threshold entry point into using e-bikes and cargo bikes for their commute. In this way, the company premises gain a contemporary, future-ready infrastructure that combines mobility, sustainability, and comfort for employees.
