Dronepad
Landing platform

Together with a manufacturer of specialised containers, a mobile landing platform for cargo drones was developed by MOJA Design. The DronePad meets all technical and legal requirements for the take-off and landing of semi-autonomous drones, making their use possible even where no permanent infrastructure is available.

A key requirement in the concept was quick and easy set-up of the system on site. This is achieved, among other things, through electrically adjustable support feet that align the platform optimally – even on uneven ground, as is common on construction sites or agricultural land. As a result, the preparation effort on site remains low.

The standardised transport container houses all components of the platform and for loading the drone, a charging point for the electric drone's batteries, and a control centre. Semi-autonomous means that the drones carry out their flights largely independently, while the control centre in the container enables monitoring and supervision of operations. The drone itself is also securely stored in the container for transport, so that platform and aircraft can be brought to the site as one compact unit. Thanks to standardisation, the system can be shipped worldwide using common means of transport.

For temporary deployments on large construction sites, in agriculture, or for other specific transport tasks, the cargo drone can thus optimally support logistics.
