Câble C1
Paris
Product design
The Île-de-France region in the greater Paris area is expanding its public transport network in an innovative way. The new Câble C1 cable car system is creating forward-looking solutions to urban mobility challenges. Covering a distance of 4.5 kilometers, the cable car connects five stations, creating a new, independent level of mobility. It reduces the burden on the environment as well as on commuters, who previously suffered from traffic jams, long waiting times, and unsafe travel conditions. Câble C1 is equipped with state-of-the-art, modular OMEGA V cabins that can transport up to 2,000 people per hour and direction, arriving at intervals of less than 30 seconds. Each cabin can accommodate up to ten passengers, is fully accessible, and features communication systems for the hearing impaired and information screens. Câble C1 thus combines comfort with the latest technology and brings innovative impetus to the field of transportation design.
