Italy's most modern cable car system opened in 2025 in the Italian Fassa Valley in the heart of the Dolomites. The new three-cable gondola lift carries 21 ATRIA cabins, each with capacity for up to 30 passengers. The mountain station is largely underground, which not only gives it a minimal ecological footprint – heat recovery from the motors is used to heat the stations, significantly reducing energy consumption. The system is designed to ensure that there is hardly any noise in the stations and that vibrations along the route are kept to a minimum. To ensure smooth daily operation, fully automated solutions are used for cabin care and support maintenance, enabling reliable and continuous use. The cabins themselves also offer maximum comfort: lighting, infotainment screens, real glass windows, and flexibly adjustable interior fittings optimize the cable car experience.
